"The tests that make up this work are the result of recent research and present a broad overview on the issues, perspectives and interpretations that are currently applied to the study of the stone carving and polished in Mexico. Its content refers to different types of lithic artifacts from heterogeneous contexts that account for certain moments in history culture. Includes observations on different techniques of development and function of the studied pieces. The texts, among other issues, study the deposits of obsidian, the workshops of elaboration of the artifacts and those artifacts as offerings in specific rituals as well as artifacts, symbols, etc. In terms of raw material, some articles refer to artifacts of milling in basalt and the last with the experiments related to the manufacture of a pyrite mirror. In short, some texts refer to a site of the lithic era, Oyapa, and the rest from Mesoamerican site such as Teotihuacán, Cantona and Tlatilco.
